In my geometric abstract paintings I use a carefully selected array of color gradients, different materials such as glass, aluminum, carbon fiber to produce an illusion of movement, space, and light in nonrepresentational works. My art work is inspired by geometry, color relationships, mathematical systems, and chemistry.
My art work creates the illusion of movement and three- dimensionality. I achieve these effects by juxtaposing hard-edged color patterns with other elements outside the bi-dimensional plane that disrupt the normal process of the vision. Some shapes of color may seem to advance and then recede and others appear to pulsate in waves.
